UMS has been building boats in  aluminum since 2000. Until 2014, UMS sold by far the most to the eastern parts of Europe.
But since 2014, the market has shifted to Western Europe instead. It was also in 2014 that the boats began to be sold in Sweden and Norway. The first years mostly on trial, but from 2016 onwards, UMS has participated in all fairs and so on.

UMS is far from the only boat manufacturer in Ukraine, rib boat brands such as BRIG and Grand are manufactured in Ukraine.

UMS is known in the industry for its welding jobs and often builds boats for other manufacturers.

The hallmark of UMS is the large dimensions of material, not even the smallest boats have less than 3mm thick aluminum. Much more than many others.
Then they have a very good and expensive hull construction, they are so-called non-mono-hydrodynamic. This means that the hull angle is not the same along the hull.
In the stern are e.g. 585DC 18 degrees, but already midships 24 degrees.
It provides the best of both worlds, good stability / top speed / consumption thanks to slightly flatter stern. But at the same time good seaworthiness thanks to aggressive hull angle already amidships.
Normally, only the most expensive aluminum boats are built according to this model. But all manufacturers would have chosen this track if they had the budget and skills to develop it!
